My 60LB pound mix/ pit/ lab thing rides with us ocassionaly and he is always very relaxed and known to sleep next to the motor box. However, he has always been calm and is 13 years old currently. The carpet in my pro air is also junk as well and the seats are pretty old and haggard. When we upgrade in the next few years I will have a no cheetos and no dogs policy for sure.

I scared the kids in my crew with a "you don't pick up your wrappers= no more snacks on the boat" policy. Honestly, my dog is the least unruly passenger in our crew

ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS will be allowed on the '16 G23!!! My girlfriend just got a lab (I guess it's OUR puppy now), and even though I love that little thing, I laid my foot down hard on the fact that she will not be allowed in the G! My girlfriend has a 89 Supra Response ski boat that will be perfect for her, otherwise, the dog goes to the pen!

We let our Lab on the boat. Actually, we fight to keep the lab on the boat as she loves to jump out and swim behind it. We have a '11 210 and we have had absolutely no issue with the vinyl. The only thing I notice is the sea deck on the platform gets scratched up.

Agreed. If I was in the situation of letting a well trained certified service dog on board they would be very welcome.

My dog is welcome on our boat. He's well trained, loves to swim, sits on his towell in the bow area. The problem with bringing the dog is that he always wants to drive

We have a blue heeler collie mix and she is always on boat, loves the water will ride the tube with the kids and loves to watch the boys surf. We keep nails trimmed so not an issue. My boat is an 09, guessing if I purchased a16 G23 might be different. But doubt it

No dogs allowed on our boat. I'd be worried about scratches and seat skins so much that I could not enjoy myself.

I think that Swatguy was commenting on 'Service Dogs'. Lots of people get a jacket that says 'service dog' on it and then call Fido a service dog, when he is really nothing of the sort. For people with allergies and who get bit by these dogs, it is a serious matter. And for the places that have to clean up after the dog, it is a bad deal.

I think there have been good opinions so far, so forgive the digression, but I get this all the time in my profession as a physician. People come to me all the time asking if I would write a note for them to keep their dog or cat, because they need it as part of a treatment plan for depression or anxiety, even though the landlord clearly has said no pets. Then, because depression and anxiety are disabilities according to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the landlord cannot discriminate against people with disability. In some cases, I am very happy to do this, and think companion pets fill a void for many people, but it gets taken advantage of quite a bit.

My 2 black labs are awesome dogs, and it would be a blast to take them to the lake in the boat, but I just cannot bring myself to do it. They aren't allowed in the garage and I still manage to find dog hair in my boat all the time. I can't imagine all of the hair if I actually let them inside the boat.

Yes Tall....agreed. Isn't it crazy all the people who are pulling the "Service Dog" crap now.....come on people..you KNOW it's bogus....and it makes you look like a fool. Just like the trend in people getting handicap mirror tags a few years back...and still today. Yeah...you're pretty "handicapped" when you jump out of your Superduty and run it and get a six pack and cigs...Shaking my head at these du.....well you know the ones. The world will always be filled with the honest and dis-honest. Can't change that.

I let mine, but they enjoy the floor and not the seats, ironically.

I love taking my dog out on the boat. She loves to swim and fetch her toys. She does leave hair all over the place, but I have a boat to use and enjoy. To me, that means taking good care of the boat but not being so worried about getting it dirty that I don't have time to enjoy it. I can't take it with me.

I gave had any vinyl damage from the dog yet in three seasons. The only vinyl I have had an issue with is seams where people have stood.

Mine comes aboard any time he wants. Of course it's a no-brainer since he's a 12 lb shihpoo name Romeo and pretty much runs the family.....

Mine comes with me every time. He loves water and never sits on the seats so no scratches. I have no carpet and he uses the transom to go swimming.
