    KISS! Just attach a 3' long knotted or braided rope to the rear ski pylon and let it hang on the platform . No cost,no drilling and if you don't need just take it off?

      Funny, I use the vertical grab rail all the time and have never wished I had the horizontal one....maybe I will now though LOL

        I'm the same. I will have to actually think about what I am doing to get back in the boat the next time to see if grab rails in a different spot would be better. Hmmm.

          I like the KISS principal, but we use the step too much to have the recessed eye lifted.
