F725 and funkybunch, Thanks for all the info. I will play around with the NCRS and NSS this weekend.

I'm interested to hear more results and favorite set-ups.
This photo was taken from the back of our boat level with the walk thru. (a bit of a crafty camera angle but the wave is pretty big none the less).
Thanks for all the help!

My wife was driving (120 lbs), my two kids (totaling 170 lbs), myself (130 lbs) and one other friend at (150 lbs).
I went just the other day with myself and one other. The wave was good, clean and fun but not as big as the picture that I posted previously. Definitely can tell the difference with a few extra bodies in the boat. I keep extra sacs in the boat but I haven't used them... in the case where it's just two of us out it would be easy to fill an extra 200 or 300 lb sac and but it on the surf side.
So far, everyone that I've had out to surf our boat has been very impressed.

mlsurfco,
It's tough to nail down an exact ratio. If the wave is really clean on the port side, I'll fill the starboard side a little more to gain the max height on settings of 3 and 3, then if I need to clean it up a bit I can shift a body in the boat or use NSS and NCRS to get what we want.
In some cases I do fill some belly ballast but usually only up to 1/8 full. I do this when I have 5 or 6 people in the main cabin area and the wave is too washed out at 3 and 3. I can almost base our wave off of RPM's. Anywhere from 3,000 to 3100 the wave is good, over that mark and it's an indicator that a little belly weight is needed and then the RPM's will drop back into range.
Speed is still 11.1 typically unless the surfer asks for something different. Beginner surfers around 10.7 and 0,0 for settings. Even then, the wave has too much power with full rear ballast.
Hope this helps explain our set-up. Again, maybe there are better ways to set this G21 up but I really like what we are doing now.
Maybe we can meet up someday this summer and surf. We are near Alexandria.

I will try adding some lead back to the equation and not filling the belly. I think my problem before was too much weight up front (full belly plus 240 in lead in the bow).
Would love to hook up and do some surfing. I am up your way for work every so often so I will hit you up next time. If you get down to the cities, let me know.

mlsurfco,
Sounds like you're on the right track with weighting. I'd like to have some lead to replace people weight but I have 8 or 9 fat sacs laying around that I can use. Easy to fill while waiting for the stock ballast to fill.
Email me when you're going to be in the area. found725@gmail.com I'll let you know when I'm down your way. I will be around the cities for the 10k event and then again for the JJHD event in September. Tommy Czeschin will also be in town for that and maybe we could do some riding then.

I tried F725's settings above yesterday and really liked the wave even with just a driver in the G21. I currently have 280# in the rear port locker and 120# under the bow port seat in 40# bags of steel. After one set of F725's settings I switched to 100% port and starboard rear, 70% in the bow, NSS 0, NCRS 3 & 11.2 MPH which I had been using. We then took another set using F725's setting. F725's gives a steeper, slightly taller, and better defined lip. I felt like I could get a just a litter further back at my old settings but prefer F725's and will play with a small amount of weight in the bow to look for length. I also thought the bow would ride higher and the wave would be much shorter using F725's but that was not the case.I might remove the weight in the bow and move one to rear port locker for 320# and see if the bow weight is even needed.

There are occasions where I add some in the belly but it's pretty rare. The most common remark I hear from others that I have come surf with us is how powerful the wave is. Call it Push or Power, it really does provide for some epic recoveries.
At the beginning of the season I wasn't sure if I would go with another G21 next spring but now I'm convinced that I really want to. Need to sell current one by this fall if anyone knows of someone that wants a really good deal.

After playing with the settings some more I pulled the lead out of the bow and ended up with 320# in the port corner, NSS 2-3, NCRS 3, 11.1 mph, 100% in both port and starboard and 0% in the belly and this does seem to create the best wave. It really has a lot of push and lets you get pretty far back.
