Well it's getting close to time to take delivery of my new G23! I was just wondering if anybody has any recommendations for a spare prop to keep on the boat (Jeff, I know you have some input!). I always like to have a spare just in case one gets dinged so that we don't ruin a weekend! And I already know that I should probably order it from Delta Props as they give a nice discount for PN members. What I need is a recommendation for the actual prop. Should I just stick with the stock settings, or upgrade? I would assume stock since I don't really plan on upgrading the ballast except for maybe the occasional 400-800lbs. Thoughts?!

I did find a discussion where the ACME 2561 (stock) and the 2569 (high altitude) props were mentioned. Does anybody know if these are the 2 I would be looking between for my 2016 G23 with the H6 (450hp)?? -
I don't know the answer, but am eager to hear opinions. I have a 17 X 16.5 as my spare and never had to put it on. The stock 17 X 17 has been an allstar for me. If I wakeboarded with great weight over stock, I would go with the lower pitch, but wish I had some real world experience...without having to ding a prop to get it.

I am also looking to by spare prop for the same boat. I am very happy with the stock prop. I will never go over 800lbs factory ballast plus people with H6 motor.2016 G23Comment
