For others with the Wakeboard Pro on a 2003ish what are you NN and KDW settings? How much does your speed fluctuate? How long does it take to settle in on the proper speed? Trying to get comparisons to see if our boat needs to be adjusted any. We weight it heavy and have whatever ACME prop is built for heavy ballast. Ours is the paddlewheel version also.

not sure what my values are on that, but i can tell you this. i replaced the paddle wheel with the gps module from "nautic logic" and it pulled night and day more consistently. it is definitely one of the better upgrades iv'e done in hindsight. nothing changes in the dash, it just swaps the paddle wheel out for a gps puck. below is a link, i dont even remember what it costs. no affiliation with them, it has just been a great product.

I have heard this quote many times and would agree it's a valuable upgrade. Believe it's between 200-250.00Last edited by swatguy; 05-11-2016, 02:42 PM.

I was wondering about that NauticLogic GPS. We exclusively ride on a river but it's pretty slow current. Think the GPS would give me any issues?

Perfect.
Just to explain a little.
The NN value is the times the system measures the paddle wheel speed. The higher the NN value the quicker the boat wants wants to adjust speed. So if it's too high th boat will constantly be adjusting and you speed will vary a ton. Too low and the boat will react very slow and not make enough corrections.
The KDW value refers to the amount of umff/throttle the system will apply to make that correction. Non weighted/ Lower weighted boats don't need that extra umff, if the KDW is to high you will constantly overshoot and undershoot the speed very aggressively so the require little lower KDW. Heavily weighted boats need more umff. So the value is higher. I have rarely seen any boat need over 200 in the KDW side. 50-70 is a solid NN value. Each boat is different but those are the standard markers so to speak. I had a setting labeled "heavy" for when I had like 8 people and full extra ballast. I believe my KDW was 230.
My wife used to ride just center ballast a while back at like 20-21. Her NN was the same but her KDW was at 110-120 if IIRC. So if you have varying rider abilitie try and make couple preset markers.

Makes perfect sense. Plan on adjusting a little more and see if it gets even more accurate. I know it should based on another 210 I ride behind often. Adjust KDW for bad overshooting and NN if it's adjusting too often or not often enough. This forum has been extremely helpful over the years.

hoping I see a big difference after my changes. I have noticed pulling issues with the PP and my settings were never touched since I bought the boat middle of last summer.
NN value was 100 and KDW was 95
Changed it to: NN= 65 & KDW= 195 considering I have the fly High sac upgrade and the amount of people I always have. Will find out this weekend.
