How do you remove the cup holders????

I'm trying to do a paint job on my plastic piece for the cup holders up front in the bow (not the actual 3 dollar cup inserts) on our 02 SANTE but am unsure as to how they come out or if you can even get them out without breaking them. Any insight on the matter would be awesome as I want to try and get to it this weekend on Saturday when its going to be crappy so we can get on the lake Sunday for some fun.

    Thanks for the help!

So you're talking about the piece that supports the cup holders? If so, have you reached behind and underneath to see if you can feel any through bolts or those "Christmas trees."? You may have to pull the seat backs first.

The actual cup holders will just pop out. They are basically using a friction fit to stay in there. Reach underneath and push and wiggle them side to side. They should pop right out. As far as the plastic piece IIRC you will have to take entire front seat back cushion out to remove it.

Yes I am talking about he piece that supports the cup holders not the cup inserts themselves. So Im Guessing I need to take the seat back off then. Are they just held in with the X-mas trees?

Yes, you have to take out the wrap around seat back. Under that, the cup holder support parts are screwed to the hull. To get the wrap around seat back off, there were two screws on each side of mine. 2 under the drivers kick panel, up high and 2 in the port storage area up high. Then you just have to lift the cushion out. There are some brackets that it slides in and out of around the rest of the cushion. I also found a loose screw right in the bow, in front of the battery. I am not sure if that was meant to secure the very front of the cushion to the hull or not, but might want to check there before lifting. You will need another set of hands to lift out the wrap around seat back.
