I have 2014 SAN G23. I am wondering how to MANUALLY control the NCRS plate when cruising or pulling skier not using speed control. Can this be done?

I second leaving it in automatic mode. I don't get any plate movement when turning off and using NCRS adjustment, sounds like I might have some kind of problem. Don't need this often, but nice to have the option when pulling a young kid on kneeboarding or other...

If I'm not mistaken the plate will not move if the boat is still.
Even with it moving I can't tell much of a difference if I only move one number at a time. If I go three or four at a time it is noticeable.
The biggest, obviously, is right after ZO takes over when riding and it goes from 0 to 5. You can really feel the back drop and the bow come up.

This is what I have found to work the best. Leave the NCRS in AUTO on High sensitivity. I have found that when I pull the kids it is best to create a new user or change the settings of the novice wakeboard settings so that the NCRS setting is 0 or 1. (bow low) . Otherwise when the set speed is achieved (sometimes 14-15 mph for the kids) the NRCS plate will go to 5, the bow will rise, the boat will come off plane, then the plate will adjust and compensate and the process goes back and forth with the boats nose going up and down.
When you set up a user setting or create one, it holds the set NCRS setting at the speed choosen. That way you can see over the bow and have a wake that is not washed out even with a slower set speed.
Hope this helps2016 G23

Great input, thanks Whitetail. It sounds like that will work for me, but I haven't tried it yet. Have you found you have to be in one of the user setting (like wake novice) with the set speed achieved to be able to gain manual control of the NCRS?

i have never realy tried to adjust manual in any setting. I just got super frustrated one day while towing my daughter at 14 mph while she was trying to learn some spins and the bow was going up and down and ncos could not find a place to stay. I just had speed control on with sped set a 14. It would reach 14 then felt like plate was moving, bow would rise, boat would come off plane and you know the rest.
I made a new user with that speed and my own ncrs setting, and all is good.2016 G23
