    Folding tower

Anyone have an easy way to fold the tower down with one person? Not sure what tower I have my boat is 06 SANTE 220 and the tower is really heavy and awkward to fold.

That tower is a beast and I'd imagine you'd probably throw something out on your back or do some damage to the boat folding that thing down by your self. I had an 06 with that tower and it wasn't fun folding it down even with two people. I doubt there is an easy way with one person simply because of the weight and shape of it.

I just picked up a 220 and I have been doing some thinking about the tower, its a 4th gen FCT1 I assume (not the titan that folds in the middle). The PO said he would tie a rope to the tower and loop it around the pylon for some friction to let it down slowly. But I would be too worried about the rope slipping off and the tower crashing down - so I am thinking about adding some pulleys in the rear lockers and using a belay harness type setup to safely lower the tower.

I havent had to put the tower down yet, but I am adding a pair of 410s next weekend that will certainly make it harder to do... Im very interested if anyone has any other ideas

I have an fct2 tower. I made a support arm out of 1 1/2 PVC to help when I fold it.

when my son got his 2004 210 the first thing he did was take off the tower speakers, he said he doesn't listen when he rides and also makes the tower manageable for one person.use to struggle with all my other boats until the g came out with shocks and cables to make it fold down using one hand.....

I also took off my speakers. Don't need them.
