Removing hard tanks installing 1100 bags 08 236

Looking at pulling the hard tanks out of our 08 236 and installing 1100 fly high bags. Questions for those that have done this.

    1. Is there enough slack in the oem fill/vent lines to use them? Given the postion the 1100 bag will sit vs the hard tank. Or is new longer hose required?

    2. How many pump cycles does it take to fill / drain the 1100?

    Thanks guys!

    1. There should be... I changed mine out to the clear, but if doing it again- wouldn't. The fill line is exactly the same, you will need more length for the overfill lines though.
    2. Cycle time is at least 2, maybe closer to 3 on my 2012 with linc2. Depends on how new your impellers are... I'd buy extra becuase I've fried a couple "learning"

Do the OEM hard tanks have 90* fittings on them? So i need to use the fly high W746 connectors on both fill & vent lines?

Im not near the boat right now to check.

My boat is in a different state... But yeah if I remember correctly they do have 90° fittings... Don't know the part #'s off the top of my head but I know mine are now straight... It's one advantage of swapping to new more flexible hose... Call wakemakers and they will be happy to tell you everything you need piece by piece... They sent me mine, made it super easy.

I put longer vent lines when I switched to 1100 lb bags. You might want to try running longer fill lines and connect them to the rear of the bag, that way you can empty the bags while cruising. Might also help the issue of water under pressure when the bag is full leaking back through the pump.

Did you guys reinforce the engine dividers with the 1100's in the 230/236?

I reinforced my the engine dividers with Aluminum Trim Channel works great (picked up mine from Lowes). Taking out my hard tanks and going with the 1100 bags is one of the best things I did to my 230.

Just add a piece to the top of the divider? Thats enough strength?

What is the thickness of the dividers 1/2"? Not near the boat.

Anyone know how much / if the rear locker dimensions changed from 07-16?

Curious if the earlier models had wider rear lockers?
