Is the water saying below the NSS plate? What would happen if you went full stock all around, and put one about 800 in the bow

Any idea why that is true for the G series with regards to the bow weight? Is that maybe why you bumped up the speed to 12, given that increasing speed has similar effect to bow weight (lengthening pocket while decreasing height). Just asking in order to learn, having moved from a 23lsv that was slammed to a G23.

I went surfing last night, and had all stock tanks full and five people in the boat. While surfing goofy footed I moved three people to the bow, and put one person in the port side to balance the driver. I surfed NCRS at 5 and NSS at 0, and the wave was really nice. I could get deep in the pocket, and have great power.

In two weeks we are taking a boat trip the lake cumberland with 16 people, so I should be able to get great feedback on how these boats like the weight. The comp boats you see in the water are slammed. I have heard they have 1,000 pounds of lead in them plus factory tanks. However I have not been able to find anything about the set up's on the NET, I am sure they do not want that info out for several reasons.

Adding bow weight only increases height and steepness of the wave. Speed is what determines pocket length. The increased speed I found helps with board control though and you don't lose any push in the wave, its a meaty wave for sure.

Interesting. I always thought it was the opposite. More weight in the back of the boat sinks the rear and creates a taller wave with a shorter pocket. Adding bow weight or speeding up drops the nose, flattens the attitude of the boat, and creates a shorter wave with a longer pocket. I'll have to experiment now! I have additional 1100lb bags for each rear locker and a 1000lb bag for the nose. Will try it out once it stops raining so dang much!

I will definitely give that a go Nolan, cheers! Yes, the dividers seem very beefy, I cannot see them popping out like they did in my lsv. Just to confirm, no ballast in non surf side rear ballast? Could you fill all ballast and just fill an 1100 in surf side rear locker as a close approximation?

Then poison yourself by melting it down. Do it outside. A lead brick that is a little over an inch tall, and 12 X 8 inches also weighs about 50 pounds.
