    To me, closed cooling isn't that big of a necessity. I've never had it before in a boat and don't see why I would need it now. One less thing less system to break. Open cooling is more efficient also. You still have to winterize parts even on the closed cooling system. And the winterization on these new boats is a breeze with the new quick disconnect color coded plugs they have. The ONLY thing that I would want from the closed cooling, is that the heaters tend to work a little better on that setup than on the open cooling setup.
