    G23 or g25??

I'm not sure weather I want the g23 or the 25. I lIke the size better of the 25, for sure but here different things on the wake. Any opinions in the wake for boarding and surfing? Also I know these boats ain't built for speed....but is there anything to add to get a Lil more speed?? I sold my se550, and my friend had a g23, and he was way slow....so speed and opinions on the 25 over the 23.. (we r far from pro riders. Just enjoy the water) thanks for ur thoughts.

Speed wise they will both be almost identical with the gearing changes for 2016. I've heard that the G23 has a better wake as far as wakeboarding goes with stock ballast.

Anything u can do to make it faster? Any kind of add-insurance? I've heard that also about the wake. But I assume that the 25 is still great, right?

I have a 2015 G25 and my next door neighbor has a G23 and have spent considerable amount of time on both, surfing, boarding and just riding around our lake. I bought the 25 simply because we tend to have a large crew at our place and I wanted the extra room. I think both are fantastic boats and you can't go wrong with either one, it just depends on if you want the extra room in my opinion. I've surfed and boarded behind both and while I'm no expert I think the wakes behind both are comparable, which is fantastic! I do have two extra 750lb sacks plumbed into the lockers of my G25 (done by Buxton Marine) at the recommendation of my salesman to take the surf wave up a notch. I think the stock surf wave on the 23 might be slightly better, but I think with my extra sacks full the 25 is as good or slightly better. I would say the top end speed on both is close (both have 450's) low 40's and I find I rarely want to go over 30mph....Hope this helps.

Yes it does. I also always have a lot of ppl with me. Lots of kids. So they add up quick. I sold my se550 for this, and it had a good surf. We are by far great boarders, so I think the 25 will work. That's really what I have priced but wanted to get other options. Thank u

Nothing can really been done about top speed, prop would get you a couple mph at most. Anything over 25mph and your wasting fuel for no reason anyway! Haha

Based on your posts over on WW.com unless you are just dead set on a wakeboat it sounds like one of the newer I/O boats with the prop in front of the drive would be a better fit for you. You can get a boat with all the space you require, still have a good top speed for running with your go fast friends, but still have a wakeboard/surf wave that sounds like it would fit your riding abilities just fine as well. I think they would be in about a similar price range too.

Now between the G23/25 I'd personally pic the G23... I'm a die-hard wakeboarder though and the G25 just doesn't have the wake I prefer (given stock ballast). The bigger boat has more surface area to float it and plane out. You would need to add more weight to get a similar wake to the 23 but that would come at a noticeable fuel burn on an already thirsty boat.

if you need a fast boat, then maybe the G, and other heavy Wake Boats like X23, are noting for you.
If you don't need the space for the crew or a lot of sacks, then i would go for a G23. If you go for a 2016, then i would be surprised if you really need more then the H6 Engine.
