My SANTE 220 does not have a tow point near the engine? Recently bought it and just noticed it. No other SANTE 220's seem to be missing this that I've looked at. What would you use to pull tube etc.? Heard you shouldn't pull tubers from the tower.

My 2011 210 doesn't have one in front of the engine either. Interesting that your 2007 doesn't have one.2007 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV, 1995 Cobalt 200

What about towing it on the hook right above the swim platform? When we pulled our big 10 person tube, we used that. It worked great. That's what I originally thought you meant was missing. But you are missing the ski pylon....crazy. Do you have the rear tow? Cant wait to see that picture!Last edited by enzo thecat; 06-01-2016, 04:51 PM.2016 G21 SupeAir.

I don't think that eyelet has enough support. I think it would probably cause some stress cracks. Take a look under the engine compartment it's just fiberglass and one small metal rod.
I assume that the support is there for your tow point in front of the engine. It's pretty simple to install. All you need is a aluminum bar and two U Bolts.
If you don't want to install it, I think you would be better off towing from the tower IMO.

Pylon was an option on the 220's. The rear pop up in the step is a lifting ring and designed for a vertical lifting load, heavy towing loads on the lifting ring could crack the surrounding gel. Lose the tube and teach the kids to ski or board . If you must pull the tube use the tower, just be cognizant of not creating huge loads by burying the tube or flipping it where it catches a ton of water.

If the pop up lifting ring is designed to transfer roughly half the dead weight load of the boat in the vertical axis to where the gel coat/fiberglass won’t crack how can it not handle a roughly 300 lb load by pulling a tube in the transverse axis? I feel the factor of safety for lifting the boat incorporated in the design would be plenty for pulling a tube.
I have pulled a tube (not proudly but when people want I will oblige) a few times from it and haven’t had any issues or cracks form.
