NEW 2016 G23!! Help with Surf Settings

I am new to the forum in the past couple months.. I usually use the user name of Mr&MrsSmith but have not been able to sign on after multiple password changes (email into the forum to help fix).

I just received my new G23 this past Saturday... man is she a beaut! Absolutely love the fit and finish and color choice we went with! Very excited.

I am coming for a 2015 Axis T22 with 750lbs in the rear lockers that produced a good wave that was very clean, ok/good push, and a pretty tall (not very steep) but soft wave at the top.

So far I have tried factory settings with full factory ballast and NSS at 0 / NCRS 2 - 5. I've played with the speed ranging from 10.8 - 12mph. Today I put 400 lbs bags in each rear locker to see how it would perform. The wave was better (not saying it was ever bad at all) but was hoping it would get a bit taller, longer and be a bit cleaner.

Would love to maximize our boat and see what it could really do.. Can some folks chime in on what settings.. added ballast/lead you are running? Both sides of the wave are important to me as my family and friends ride both sides.

I like my wave tall and steep. I run NSS at 0 and NCRS at 5.

Try bumping nss up alittle maybe? I'm haven't surfed a new G but my boat with extra ballast above stock likes ncrs 3-6 nss 0-2 and 11.6-12.0mph

A bit contrary to how we weight my buddy's 2013 G23, but I found my '16 doesn't like to be very rear biased on weight. It made for a short and dirty wave. I would suggest that you try putting the 400s under the lounge seats instead of the rear lockers..... Or leave them in the rear lockers and put 400-500lbs in the bow.

Right now I am running 400 under the helm, 400 in the observer compartment, and 300s under the lounge seats. 11.4-11.8mph. NCRS at 3-4, NSS at 0. It has stock wave shape except about 1/3rd bigger, much firmer, and a whole lot more push in the back section of the wave.

My starting point is 400# lead up front, NCRS 4 NSS 2 @ 11.5 MPH. Adjust from there.

NSS at 0 is how you'll make it longer. Add more ballast above factory never hurts. I like 400# up front and more in the rear lockers with a slight bias to the side you want to surf.
