"Not even comparable boats" wasn't going to comment but I can't help myself. Im going to disagree. I've drove and been pulled by a G21 . Great boat with lots of room. But I do believe the G21 and 210 are very comparable .

Comparable in what sense? I think they are vastly different - like sports car vs SUV.
G21 wake and wave are MUCH bigger, way more storage, 2016s get the LINC touch and helm control, stereo, etc.

I made the switch from a 2014 210 into a 2015 G21, not by choice really but that's a long story. We really had our 210 dialed in for the surf wave. It was tough to beat for sure. When we first set up the G21 it took some time to get a surf wave that came close to our 210. Now we've been getting something a little taller and about the same length as the 210. I like the G21 seating and extra bow seating but financially a 210 would've been way more comfortable. Both great boats.

Austin179, If you're a goofy surfer... the wave is a pretty big improvement from the 210. Regular side is bigger than the 210 but it takes some experimenting to find what you like. If your 210 is dialed in like ours was, this feels more powerful. A good demo will prove this. No extra weight in our G21 so far, no belly weight, just full port, 3/4-7/8 on starboard. 3 on NCRS and 3 on NSS. Speed at 11.0-11.2

Firstly I apologize if I seem argumentative . But rest assured that they are very comparable at least in my world . I promise anyone that stock for stock you can compare these boats for wake and enjoyment . I could purchase either one and have been seriously contemplating a G for the room. And stating sports car vs. SUV I would hope the Sports Car your referring to is the 210 because that was one of my biggest complaints comparing the two boats. I could maneuver our 210 much easier. The G is awesome when it's wave is dialed in but can be compared to my 15 210.

                My opinion only .

I agree the wake is probably comparable and both boats can be manipulated to produce excellent results. The G21 is a step up in every other way though. Even though they are the same length the G21 feels larger due to the extra room in the bow, extra 4" of beam (doesn't sound like much but it is noticeable) and the extra freeboard. Storage for everything helps as well. With that being said... We wanted a larger boat than our 210 and felt if we were going to do it we were going to take a bigger step and get the G23. 230 would only gain us a bit of seating and a bit of storage. G21 would gain us a bunch of storage and a bit more interior space. If we started out with the G21 we would have most likely made due and not felt the need to upgrade. The 210 felt small due to all the gear we would carry for a day on the lake. If we were limited by towing/storage or... and the G21 was our only option and the G23 wouldn't work we would have had a serious look at it but I'm not sure we would have switched.

okay, I'm going to try and summarize all of the input.
from what I can tell the G21 is an obvious upgrade if money is no issue and you can pay and/or make the payment no problem.
If you look at the 2 boats based on performance, the no question gains of the G21 are storage and roominess.
if you are looking at the boats based on the surf wave (which I am) the boat are comparable.
At least in the sense that the wave itself is not a $25k better wave.
I'm not sure if that is exactly what everyone was saying, but its what I have filtered out.
thank you again for the replies!

That's about right. Only benefits to surf wave ebd of things would be the surf select/pebble and ballast 100% under floor. You can get an incredible surf wave with the 210 if you use 750's in the rear lockers. Then you have no storage but doesn't appear to be a factor for you.

One thing I wanted to add...and a big reason I traded my 226 in was being able to surf without adding ANY extra weight, bags and crap all over the floor and in lockers. I'm not that hard core about it but didn't want to mess with ANY of that extra stuff in the boat. Also, the ease of switching the wave from left to right and not having to list the boat by having people sit on the edge. Great for the people who add lead and bags to make it better, I'm all for that, just not in my boat. Just adding a few extra people in mine kicks it up a notch also. Also, going straight to a wakeboarder or skier without any moving or draining of bags. But don't forget another cool thing....if you go with the G...you can blast "Ain't nothing but a G -Thing Baby"....all day on the stereo while you are cruising the lake !!!!!

210 (modern) has a very similar surf wave to the 21. storage ect diffrent, but if you are looking for surf upgrade, 25k isnt worth it in my opinion.

I've owned lots of boats over the years but I'm relatively new to these tow boats.
Before buying my 2015 210 I talked to a lot of people, asked a lot of questions and read everything I could find.
What's clear is that there is no such thing as "One Size Fits All".
I did a quick chart based on a little bit of personal experience and a lot of what I've been told and what I've read.

For me, storage and people capacity have zero value, my boat sits on my lift at the end of my dock and I can change equipment and people in about a minute.
Regarding the wake: I wanted to have a good surf wake but I also like to ski on occasion.
I'm on a small lake and the water is always calm. (except when I'm out there) 😜👍
Based on this, the 210 is perfect me.

A lot of these numbers can move up or down such as: If you own a Ram 3500 with a Cummins engine, you can tow any of these boats easily. Obviously, you can add ballast to any of these boats to improve the wake.

Are my numbers close? Where am I way off?

I guess where I get sideways is the 210 is an incredible boat . In the market their really aren't many boats you can ski, surf, wakeboard , pull behind average size suv. I've had most years of the SANTE and the 15 we own is perfect. I really dig pushing a button and surfing , then push a button and wakeboarding. Not sure if all 15 boats had it but ours has pro ballast and it has a very reputable surf wake and the wakeboard wake is sick! As far as money goes I can buy a brand new G. But enjoy the size and universal amount of fun we have with our 210. We have a place on the lake so we don't need to pack into our boat like we're camping for the weekend . We bring 15 waters and ice in factory cooler. Then another factory cooler I purchased in port side front storage with sandwiches and munchies. Wakeboards and surf boards on racks . Towels in rear storage.
