    2016 SAN230 Tower Knock

    Hi,

I'm interested to get your guys thoughts/opinions on the noise my tower is making, mainly its the Starboard side tower foot that is the main culprit (95%) but the port side foot has done it a handful of times.

We took the best clips we could to try and demonstrate the noise and knocks but doesn't quiet come across the best over a phone clip, but the knocking can be felt on the side of the boat as the tower flexes.

We have been working on it with our dealer but my problem is I don't have any reference point to go off (first wakeboat, first boat with tower ect), so some thoughts would be great, as we are just not sure whats to be expected and whats out of the ordinary.

My dealer has had a few looks at it and it has been made slightly better from when we first noticed the knocking ( around the 10 hour mark, now at 120)

    Thanks

Thanks for the response, are G series towers moving around and making the same noises like the one on the 230 or is it something that has been resolved for those models?

The movement is pretty hefty, sometimes you could swear it will crack the gel coat on the boat!

I've not heard of movement. If we hit a big wave I get a rattle on starboard side and there's been a couple others w same issues. No movement though.

As you can see in the first clip, I can generate the knock just by moving the tower myself. I feel with the forces the tower has to deal with while on the water and on the trailer that it shouldn't be that easy to generate movement?

I've got a rattle in my starboard side as well. I can't quite get it tracked down. One theory is its the stereo wire runs rattling against the inside of the tower and that's would makes the rattle sound. Was thinking of shoving some peices of foam up there to see if that helps. Dealer hasn't been out to check it yet.
