Hopefully the pickup would be doing much better than 8mpg.

A pickup towing 9000lbs? A diesel could probably get 12 when towing that much, but most gassers are gonna get 18-21 unloaded, and 8-10 when towing 9k.

Replaced an 07 Acadia with a 12 Explorer last week. Should work fine for the twice a year trip to and from the launch. Or the 10 mile jaunt to a buds house to fix wiring.

We went from towing a 2007 Supra 24 SSV with a GMC Sierra 1500 that did great for that boat, to the P23 last year so I had to upgrade the truck to a 2500 HD... a 3/4 ton truck is borderline mandatory with these G23/G25 boats, it is SOOOO much better than a 1/2 ton.
