    Nautique % Off of MSRP

    Hey folks.

I'm crossing shopping a few brands, and very interested in a 230 or G23.

Different manufacturers have a different amounts of markup in their lines, and generally speaking I'm finding (and have seen from experience) that items with higher MSRPs and more options have a higher markup than those will lower prices and more of a base model. Meaning there's more room to negotiate on those items.

I'm trying to get a handle on what would be a considered a good deal for Nautique.

Is 10-15% off of MSRP a good deal on a new order 2016 for example? Maybe more like 20%?

15-20% off of MSRP a good deal on a 2015, new leftover model on a dealers lot? Maybe more like 25%?

I'm trying to hunt around on the forum for pricing, but as most of you know, most people don't just go out and post what they paid for no reason. So tough to find those #'s.

Does anyone mind sharing what MSRP they had and what deal they were able to score or consider a "good deal" when it comes to Nautiques? When we make our final decision, I want to be able to go into the negotiation with the dealer with some good info in mind.

    Any help is appreciated!!

I have found the best deals if ordering come in the fall. Was also in the position I had a few address' to shop from, you would be surprised how much of a swing I saw from dealer to dealer. Believe at some point new old stock can be sold out of territory as well, so there is always great deals out there if you can find something you like.
You boating in Illinois or elsewhere?? I am up north on Deep Lake.

20% is a good benchmark. The 15-20% is the standard if you ask me for Nautique and MC. However as quinner mentioned different dealers like different margins and sometimes have different sales mantra's. The old days of year end blowouts are pretty much gone for the most part as dealers no longer carry the huge stock they used to. Not to say they're non existent , but they are very rare. When ordering a boat the best deals are around the boat show season as you will get the most incentives and extras at minimal cost.

Old "new" stock can be sold out of territory if it's a year old, so in this case 2015 model leftover. Problem with that that can arise is your local dealer may not accommodate you like an "actual" customer and put you toward the back of the line when the service dept is backed up , or go the extra mile when something needs to gegvtgat extra push. I will be the first to say you WILL experience some service items. Even with a new boat. So the boat will be at the service shop in the first 20 hrs no matter what.

PM me if you're looking in Northern IL , SE WI as I have dealt with all the dealers up there for years. I can give you some expectations and also some great advice on who to work with and who not too. That stuff isn't necessarily appropriate for the public Nautique forum soni'd rather keep it private

Thank you both for the info.

I am in Northern IL, and typically our boating was done on Lake Geneva.

Going to send you a PM swatguy. Appreciate it.
