Would there be some interest in developing a surf plate kit similar to an NSS for the older 2001-2007 210?
Or you think people are just running plastic plates with suction cups and that's ok?

This was my prototype. It worked great. I just had a difficult time truly installing. I gave up on this idea as I didn't want to drill into my boat. Lately, I made one of those Suction Cups. It works AMAZING! Super easy to install works great, and leaves my boat hull undisturbed.

I personally like my suction cup surfgate I made. have less than $20 invested and works like a charm. Can change sides of the boat in no time. Evenly weight the boat and take about 30 seconds to put on and take off.

I 100% agree with ohiowake2. Make one for cheap and works like a charm. Best part is there is no modification to your boat.

It seems suck gate is the way to go. Spending 4K on an older SANTE seems like a waste of money. I have a buddy with the the gosurfassist installed and he has had nothing but problems with the electronics and the system needs a ton of weight and needs deep water to really work well.

Yeah, but spending 4K on GSA for an older SAN is WAY cheaper than upgrading to a boat that's new enough to have NSS. As for weight needed in an older SAN, I had to add MORE than a ton to make a good surf wake in my 2005 SAN. Also, all boats need deep water to surf well. It's physics. Bummer about your buddy's GSA. Did he install it himself?

I installed Max's NSS kit on my 07 220. It's not a $20 option, but it works great, has a custom look and is way more affordable than the go surf assist.

So far so good on my GSA setup. Ryan will bend over backwards to help out anyone with their system. If your buddy is having issues then tell him to call them up.
It all boils down to what you really want and what your budget is. I spent a little more on getting my "surf setup" completely dialed in so I could really surf and not just "play surf".I love my complete setup(boat and everything on it) and I bet I haven't spent a 1/4 of what someone would have to spend on the new(er), digital-ed out, fancy boats. I'm just not willing to "mortgage a house" for something that I can only enjoy a couple weekends a month about 5 months out of the year. It's just not a smart investment (for me).
