    Proud Daddy Moment

My 5 year old son Kane made it on Alliance Wake. Check out his video below. Be patient...the boat part is at the end. Thanks for watching.

Of course you're proud! Very nice!

Our oldest, a girl, is also 5. She and her 3 year old brother are both dying to wakeboard, but when the moment is there, we're in the boat, they still don't dare and chicken out. Soon though, I'm sure. Can't wait!

That's awesome, I have a 5 YO son and he's been wanting to give it a go. He loves surfing, but hasn't gone for wake boarding yet. Maybe this summer I'll get him to give it a shot! Major credit to your little man, very impressive! Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys. He has really taken off and been a blast this year. It has been a process. I didn't just strap on a board and say go for it. He's been riding by himself since he was 3. At age 2 we started pulling him in a board with handle across carpet, then we worked half a summer with me running the shore line while pulling him on the board. By the time it was boat or cable time, he never had a problem. He learns something every time he puts his board on. Sunday he started riding switch. This afternoon he did several one wake 180s. He loves it for sure. As mentioned above, he needs to learn to drive the boat soon. Daddy's riding is suffering for sure. haha

Kane just keeps progressing this year. Went wake to wake today for the first time. Did it 5 times before he got back in the boat. Also doing 1 wake half cab 180s. Never would have dreamed my 5 yr old would be wakeboarding yet, much less pushing himself like this. So proud of him.

This is awesome man! Nice job working with him. I've been doing a little of the same with my sons - 4 and 6 yrs old. My 6yr old got up 4th of July this year and is loving the shred. Not jumping the wake yet, but progressing. I've got my 6 yr old (actually 7 at the end of Sept) riding 11.5mph on a 45' line. How fast are you pulling your grom now and what line length? I think I need to increase speed now jus to get the wake a little more manageable and cleaned up for him.

So we do a little of everything. Behind the boat he rides at about 55 ft out at 18.5 mph if he is wanting to jump. If he is riding switch, or doing surface tricks we slow down to about 15 mph. We ride a good bit behind a seadoo to learn new surface tricks and 1 wake tricks, then take them to the boat wake. This has been a huge help, with less impact at slower speeds. He can go slow and build confidence. Also easier to get more riding in with less turning around in the boat. Below are a couple tricks as an example of what he is doing on the seadoo.
