    Thermostat cross reference

We were out skiing early this morning and the engine temp on my 2006 216 with an Excal 330 would only hit 105. I am looking to cross reference the R026002 thermostat with one I can get at OReillys or Autozone today. Is anyone aware of the equivalent part? There is nothing stuck in the thermostat holding it open.

For 8 bucks I replaced thermostat today to upgraded Stant Superstat part#45356 cross reference from r026002 160 degree. Fits perfect. 3 bolts easy to do. Neither sealer or gasket replacement was necessary. No leaks.

Operating temperature with 60 degree water was 152 to 158. With new thermostat it is 158 to 164. Not a big difference as I try to get my heater temp up a bit. But at least now we have the cross reference as compared to $30 from nautiqueparts.

ha ha, liftetime warranty from stant...
