    Domed Bow Numbers Color Match

Has anyone played with the domed numbers website order form to see what color best matched the 2006 Nautique 196/206 logo?

    http://www.domednumbers.com/index_html.html

DN gave me the font but I'm trying to match a color to go on the Red portion of a boat like this http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/1/0/80903510.htm

which is the same color red that my bow numbers will go on, only difference is my top stripe is titanium gray.

I'm leaning toward some shade of gray with a black border but welcome opinions.

I highly recommend the domed numbers. I did them on my SAN. Boat is getting a cover so I can't get pic's till the weekend. Just e-mail them your boat pic's and some color options and you will have a few options in your e-mail in a few hours. Muck easier than trying to use the website. That is what I did. I had to change the font on a few letters because they didn't look right in the Nautique font.

Thanks MN I've been communicating with them for about a week now and they sent me those fonts. I'm currently waiting for their color recommendations after sending them the 2nd link of the red boat. The sound a little shorthanded at the company. Do you recall the lead time of recieving them from when they were ordered?

Hi Richard-Howell, do they do those decals in chrome ? (Similar to the new ones on the back of the 06 boats i.e. World Record Ski Boats). My suggestion would be that they would look pretty awesome in chrome.

I just ordered mine based on the sample attached. Andy said they will match the stern lettering on my boat. Printed it out, not exact but close.

wake-sk8-I'm not sure that I noticed chrome but DN said they had other colors not shown.

Quinner-I like the idea of matching of font to the stern numbers and "limited" rather than the ski
nautique-I may follow your lead, is that the color you got as well?

I did chrome and black to match the air logo on the boat in my album. They really do look nice. Hopefully my boat will be done todayand I can get some pic's. As for the lead time, I think it only tooka week or 10 days to get them.

I can see where chrome would work there. On the 196/206 the logo is some shade
                of gray.

Thanks for the lead time info and look forward to pics.

richard - How did you contact them/who did you talk to? I've sent them 2 e-mails from their website and gotten both returned 'undeliverable'. What did they quote you on price?

To be honest they seem a touch disorganized. As you discovered there email address on the website is incorrect. The correct one is doming@infoscreenprinting.net

Secondly the gentleman's name is Andy (not Eric). It took me several calls(and a mild complaint about their lack of communication) to get a hold of him. He was on vacation last week and is covering for someone else this week. Currently I'm waiting for an email response from him. That being said they seem to the only game in town so I'm being patient. We haven't talked price yet, I assumed the $89 listed on the website is correct.

I took some white, black and blue letters to see how they looked on my blue hull and determined that the white on boue was much more legible than black on blue. But I agree that chrome on red (or blue) would look very good as well.

Was that even worth 2 cents?

Is yours an Air 206 or Ski?

Air 206, not sure about the color of lettering, asked to match the chrome/silver w/black outline. Numbers will probably have to install a ways back from the bow, not much blue hull between the rub rail and silver stripe until just ahead of the windshield.
