    2016 g23 surf settings?

Hey guys. I have a 2016 G23 and I'm trying to figure out the surf setup. I have skim style boards and I'm having issues with the wake being way to steep and short. I have read all the previous post with no luck. Nautique boats posted on FB yesterday of a guy riding and I want that wake.

Any ideas of what this setup is.

    thanks
    Shawn

IMO it looks like stock ballast but the NSS is at like a 5 to lengthen the wake. Just yesterday I had a 300lb guy behind my 2016 G23 with stock ballast. I was running 11.5 mph. I did cheat the ballast to port side by about 20%.

Totally agree - with the stock settings I get a SUPER steep wake but very short. Haven't been able to find a way to mellow it out to get the kind of push that far back from the boat that is being displayed in that video.

Mine has a Nast curl on the top. Like a pipeline. I have tried about every setting even moved 250lbs to port side to off set my weight.

what speed are you running? i find increasing mph helps clean it up.

I've ran my speed all the way up to 12 to get a clean wake. I haven't tried faster then that, maybe I should.

I have run anywhere from 11.2-12.

Try running NSS at 0, NCRS at 0, and 11.6-11.8. Stock settings were too steep for me also. I love these settings that I run now. Also, don't offset the weight to the surf side. It makes it worse. Run the weight level.

on goofy side you might find you need to run NCRS at 2-3 to keep the lip clean.

Wayward, any lead weight anywhere? or just all stock. I have been struggling to get a wave like the one in video as well. I also have 800lbs of lead bags to play with. I have only tried 200 lbs under port side passenger seat to off set driver and torque.

HA! I had this same problem when I first tried surfing my new G! I found though that running about 60% ballast works better for me while using the skim board. Played with a few different settings and I like the NCRS at 4 and NSS at 4, about 11.8mph. Then I went and bought an actual surf style surf (well technically a "hybrid" -Doomswell Nubstep), and tried it back on stock settings (100%, NCRS 5, NSS 0) and bumped the speed up to about 11.8-12 and had no probs riding! The 100%, NCRS 5, NSS 0 setting was just too steep for my skim. When I was on edge, the bottom fin was out of the water causing the board to be very slippery. Plus when I came down, I was always burying the nose. I even commented on the first you tube video that Drew Danielo and Nautique put out asking what settings he rode (because my skim is the same one he rides) but I never got any response!

Here is a response I got from Drew on the wake settings on the video.

Hi Shawn- The set up in my boat is 100 full stock ballast. I do not add any extra weight to it. Then I run NSS at 0 and my NCRS is anywhere from 2-4. 2 if there are 6-7 people in the boat and 4 if there are 2-3 of us. 2 will be a more mellow wake and 4 will be steeper I like a steep wave personally. Then my speed is 11.4 mph

I have 100lbs in the port coffin. Nothing else.

Does the extra weight up front increase the size and lengthen the wave? Do you have any pics/videos? Thanks
