If you read my comment in this thread - http://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/fo...apply-to-13-15
you'll see that my early build 2016 has the earlier style board racks that allow the racks to rotate about 170° vs the newer racks that only allow the racks to rotate about 135°.
When I questioned my dealer about this he said it was a change during the production of the 2016's and that Nautique would replace the inserts with the updated ones so the racks wouldn't rotate all the way in and hit the large JL tower speakers.
After getting a better look at the racks this weekend I see what he was talking about. On the bottom side of the board racks at the point of swivel, there are inserts that control where the board racks stop and how far they swivel. See my picture below.
My plan is to take these inserts to a machinist and have him make up two new inserts that will have THREE points where the racks stop just like the Mastercraft racks, at 0, 90°, and 170°.
If you watch here - https://youtu.be/HSPmVM-i4NQ?t=14 you will see that the racks have a mid point stop placing the boards perpendicular to the boat, out of the way of the speakers, but still allowing easy access from inside the boat while out on the water.
