Rain pools on G21 cover

Anyone figure out a way to stop this yet? Thinking of rigging up some sort of T-bar out of pvc.

On my 08 210 I leave the rear lounge seats up when I cover it. The seats put upward tension or pressure on the underneath side of cover and divert water to the side. Not sure how your seats are on a G21 so this may not help.

One other option is to have straps installed that go around tower and lift those areas. I had two straps added to my cover and they work great.

Works great, but my boat is on a covered lift so it does not get poured directly on. It does however provide some room between the transom vinyl pads and the cover so the pads don't get mildew growth and the cover dries.

I would actually look at doing 2. One offset toward each side to give a little more support where the rain pools.

I do. You can see its that raised point between the tower legs. It's set up exactly as it comes from Nautique and it still always seems like I get these two pools just inside the tower legs.

is your boat sitting bow down? only other thing i can think of is your cover has stretched out - ive seen this if the cover has been put on without the poles, then water pools up and stretches the cover.

Mine has three poles. Two are in the back. My cover has air vents where the poles go. Yours must be different style cover. I would raise your pole farther up.

I have never seen a properly-installed factory G cover do that. Very odd.

Be certain that the rear pole is extended all the way. I believe there are three settings, if I remember correctly. Also, make sure the rear pole straps are tight. Are the three rear cover tie-downs connected and tight (rear lifting rings and center handle)?

I'll grab some pictures of the strap/pole set up next time I take the boat out, pretty sure they're installed correctly though. This dam rain is stopping me right now.

I am parked bow down though since my drive way is slanted.

You don't have the cover looped through the correct location on the tower. You have the cover looped through just above the base. Instead it should be looped through just above the first white cross bar. I don't have a picture of mine but I found this on the internet that I think will show you.

No, that doesn't explain it.

Bevostein's cover was only used in 2013. The newer covers mount as shown in the first picture in this thread.

That's not the issue here.

The more I look at your picture, the more I am convinced that your rear pole isn't fully extended.

Here's the cover on my boat, and as you can see, the cover mounts lower after 2013.

Pulled back the cover and verified my pole was fully extended. So I guess we're back to square one.
