NSS settings variation?

Here is my question for surf setup: 2014 Sante with nss and pro ballast. Let's say I have nss set at 2 with speed at 10.4. What will be the difference with just 2 in boat plus rider vs boat full (6 or 7 ) in boat plus rider. Does this make the wave bigger or longer? Based on this answer then how would I change the nss setting to improve the wave (with more in boat). I.e. how does more weight (evenly weighted) in boat affect the size and drive of the wave.

Generally speaking, more weight = taller wave, assuming speed stays constant.

So does that mean I go lower on nss and can make the wave longer with that larger size?

To lengthen the wave on a 210, I would deploy the hydro-gate (push sport-shift forward) and move weight to the bow.

You might want to experiment with NSS higher and take the speed up a bit.

When I looked at the Sante 210 with nss thread about surf setup most guys were talking 10.4 Ish and nss 2 or 3.

Have had 12 and 15 . On the 15 I'm all full tanks and 10.2 , NSS at 2

I slow down to 9.9 if I'm in rough water .

So slower seems better. Do you change the setting if your boat is full

The more weight we add I speed up and run NSS between 1 and 2 for regular side and 2 for goofy. We also increase the speed from standard 10.8 to about 11.2. We don't like the massive short wave but more the longer flatter wave. It seems to have more push. This is on 2103. We've had up to almost 3k of ballast and 1k human weight and it gets fun for sure.

With the 210 (2014) we had last summer... Fill all tanks full, remove the pro ballast bags and replace with 750's. NSS at 3 and speed around 10.6

Adding a little weight up in the bow cleaned up the wave nicely and also added length. Hydrogate was kept at full vert, seemed to mess up the wave if deployed.

The 2014 and newer 210's throw an incredible surf wave! Next to the G21, the 210 wave has been my favorite of all boats.

F725 on the 12 with all tanks full and 750's on top of rear tanks.. How did you fill the 750's ? Were they full too? Both sides?

No I just have the heavier people sit on surf side

Scooter, I think the starboard bag had less than the port side. I'd guess at 100 lbs less. No weight was added back to starboard when surfing goofy. The balance worked best like this.
