'16's get the full warranty transfer along with the other improvements to the '16's...That one someone linked is a great deal IMHO...Good colors too!

This thread has been super helpful in terms of my buying strategy. I'm still hopeful I can get close to my number with the right boat, the right time of year and some patience.

Time to get my current boat on the market!

I'd be all over that PN G23 if I was in the market. Kmayotte, why a 2016 vs. a 2015 or 2014?

I'm not really in a position to be all over anything but I agree that the PN G23 is a very desirable boat and if I was buying today I'd be in hot negotiation.

Looking for 2016 because I really like the model changes (hull nose, paint scheme, driver's seat, control knob) but a 2014/2015 would work too.

Is it accurate that the warranty is only transferable on 2016's+? Not on older boats?

Parts warranty is transferable on pre-2016 but labor isn't. There is a small fee and it is only available to the second owner. 2016s include parts and labor.

So not only are you trying to get a G23 for 100K, you still have to sell your boat?

              .....eh....

More power to you if you accomplish this but I am skeptical

You're right....selling my boat in the next 10 months (a very desirable 2004 SANTE) and buying a new boat is totally out of reach. It's no surprise no one on this site has ever accomplished such an lofty goal before. Thanks for talking me out of this Doc. Saved me a lot of time.

Kidding aside, just doing preliminary research (see thread title). If this happens in the next 12 months I'll be happy. No rush.

Ideally the boat would be a 2016, used for at least one season (two if delivered early in 2015) and have very limited options other than the H6 motor. 200 hours or less is fine.

What do you think we would have to pay for a boat like this? I priced out a 2017 at the local dealer with the same specs, 130K with trailer after discount. Wondering if I could get a used 2016 for close to 100K or if I'm totally dreaming.

Despite the skepticism of DocPhil, I am happy to say this I pulled this off even quicker than I anticipated.

I listed my 2004 Super Air Nautique on craigslist and had it sold in about 2 weeks. I was going to wait until spring to buy a new boat but when a deal is right it's right.

Some real world numbers for those looking to do something along these lines (I don't mind sharing as this info would have been helpful to me a few years ago).
2004 Super Air Nautique bought in Spring of 2010 for 30K with 198 hours. Sold summer of 2016 with 830 hours for 28K.

Bought 2016 G23 just past the break in period for $107,500. Nicely equipped including H6, underwater lights, surf select and bimini.
Half down, half financed over 10 years at 3.99%. I'll likely payoff much earlier but it's nice to keep the monthly payment down.

The G will be shipping to me in the next week. Can't wait to get it and enjoy some fall riding before I have to put it away for the long New England winter!!

                      Pictures coming soon!

You paid $2,000 for 630 hours and 6 years of use on a great boat? That's just incredible. I just bought a 2005 SANTE with 500 hours and trailer for $30k. If I can sell it in 2022 for $25k+ I'll be in amazement. Maybe those years will be collectible by then.
