Proud Dad Moment!

I have never pushed my kids to get behind the boat. I have seen those parents, and I refuse to be that guy. I always hoped that when they were ready, they'd go for it. Today my four-year-old decided he wanted to wakeboard! That's not really that surprising. He's the little daredevil of the two of them. The surprising thing was that my nine-year-old finally decided he wanted to try it too. I guess he didn't want to be shown up by his little brother.

Four-year-old Dylan got up on his very first try, and nine-year-old Andrew came close to riding away from a surface 180 on his first ride. So glad they are officially wakeboarders now!

So cool!! Great videos. My 15 year old is ready for her own board now that's she's logged more time. (We had a dry lake for 4 summers straight...we had a gap of little riding). Have to get my 11 year old up and going. She tried once at the end of last summer. As soon as she gets back from camp I'll show her these vids.

Jeff that is great!! Andrew needs to be looking at the back of the boat, not down. No surprise Dylan is ready, that boy is a nut, lol. Reminds me of my first ski, never stood up and as soon as my Dad needed to turn I pretty much tipped over, Dylan has a year head start on me though. BTW, nice throttle control Dad, always a huge factor in success!!
Let the brother rivalry begin, good stuff!!

Great videos Jeff. I had a proud dad moment this summer as well. My 5 year old daughter decided she wanted to try skiing after using the ski trainer tube all of last year. She got up first try as well!

This is Awesome!! I had one of these this year as well. my 6.5 yr old decided he was finally ready to wakeboard. He's been very determined working with me around the dock and in the pool getting comfortable with the board on his feet in the water. Finally got up this year on a rainy 4th of July when no one else was on the water! Made it all worth it...

Such a cool feeling, here's my 4 year old son. 6 year old daughter is already working on jumping form.

My boat had similar story. My older daughter really wasn't in to it that much. No problem. Let her do her thing. Then one day the younger one got up and started flying around the lake. Not be be outdone the older one jumps up and says "my turn". And so the saga began.
