Boom on 200 sport nautique

I was starting to look at new boats today and looked at a Malibu VTX. I was told that you can't attach a barefoot boom to the removable ski pylon.
Is this also true with the ski pylon on the sport 200???

I use a tower boom on my 200 sport; I would not try to put a boom on my removable center pylon

Finally going to pull the trigger on a tower boom for my 200V. Any words of wisdom? I haven't called yet, but sounds like I need the W207 and the B110 extension?
