Can you describe how you got the little one on a surfboard ? Like how she got up ? Trying to teach our 6 year old . I'm having an issue getting her to flip the board up

I have them position their feet off center.
Their rear foot is as close to the back of the rear pad as possible and the front foot is towards the rear of the front pad with their heel right on the edge.
I have them bend their knees and try to touch their butt to the board keeping their arms 100% straight.
When i put the boat in gear (idle speed) it will put a slight amount of tension on the rope and slowly drag them in the water.
Because of the foot placement the board will pop up where I can see the bottom of the board.
I then throttle nice and smooth.
foot placement, having knees bent, and arms straight is pretty critical.
Also making sure you can see the bottom of the board before you give it gas.
If the board is still flat in the water when I hit the gas they will just slide out as they can not get the board to flip and stand up in one motion yet.

My 5 year old is way too small to flip the board up. He's figured out how to hold the board half underwater while he places his feet on it. We got the idea from someone who said the little ones bend their legs into a ball and simply hold the board with one hand until they have enough pressure on it to keep it in place. The Phase 5 Scamp was the ticket for us, most of the other boards were way too big for him.

Great Video Austin, great seeing the young ones out there!!

In those Wake9 video they have it backwards on forward foot IMO, push from behind and the foot they catch with is forward/leading foot, should be same result if you push from front. Not that critical for surfing cuz your just standing there, for teaching slalom or WB you want to get it right though.

The best part about boating is family time! Those kids will remember the boating days forever. Boating keeps families together. Keep up the family time Austin.
