Like the title says, has anybody successfully used one of these wakeshaper devices on a SV 211? If so which model worked, what didn't and how did it change the surf wake. Thanks for the input.

Heres a short clip of my 2005 sv211 with the homemade suckgate. I built it to similar dimensions as the Mission delta and have the plate offset by 20 degrees. This was the first dry run with zero ballast and 4 adults on the boat. Prior to using it, the regular footed side was all prop wash and pretty much un-surfable without serious weight and listing due to the prop rotation. The suckgate cleaned it up incredibly well.

350 in the ski locker 1650 in the back evenly filled port and starboard. Holding the rope to give a sense of how far back you can surf. This board was a little short for me so I had to play catch up a lot. Definitely a much better wake with the suck gate than without. Mine is 90 degree 9x11 face if memory serves me correctly. Been using all summer and has never came off. Will post a pic of it too

Seriously considering buying the Swell Wakesurf Creator. ( http://www.swellwake.com/ )
Currently run this setup in my '07:
Belly tank full (330#)
Starboard tank full (200#)
Fatsac in walkthough (440#)
Total of 970#
It's entirely surfable with a couple people besides the driver sitting on port side by a fairly large person. The wake's not super long (you can probably ride comfortably up to about 10' back from the boat)
With the suckgate, I should be able to run all stock ballast (730#) and then my Fatsac somewhere in the boat for a total of 1170#.
It should produce a nice improvement.
Anyone done it?

I got to try my QSWS adjustable wake shaper yesterday, and what huge difference! I have an '04 211 with the opposite prop rotation. I could never get a wake to surf on without holding onto the rope. I tried all three positions on the wake shaper and found that the middle position was best at 10.5 mph. No extra sacs. I tried one extra in the front walk through, but I really didn't need it. Picture below has no extra sacs. My daughter could surf behind it all day with no rope, sweet spot was about 6-7' off the swim grid. She could go back about 10' and still come back. Best mod so far for my boat 👍🏻 😊

That was just factory tanks, I had already drained the front walk through bag when I took this photo. Positives - Boat not listing, intake vents not taking on water, no, spending time filling / draining extra bags, I really have nothing negative to say about this product 🙂

Well, here is what I came up with for a Suck Gate and placement on hull, as well as the wake I was producing. Water was a little rough making a good clean pic kind of hard.Specs are '04SV211, 9.8mph, factory ballast only, Hydrogate in slalom mode. I think I need to get it farther back on hull, but I'm curious to where other people are getting it to stay on an SV211.

I just finished making my home made suck gate for my 211 but haven't tried it as yet. I can't wait to give it a go, from all reports it appears to clean the wake up considerably. Mine is set at 60 degrees and the plate is approx 8' x 9' in size. I currently have the factory hard tanks but have purchased rear wedge sacs that sit on top of factory rear hard tanks, a bow sac and another sac to go under the love set. I was going to make a manifold with a single Jabsco pump to fill and empty the sacs individually but after seeing this post I wonder if its actually going to be worth the extra effort. Am also considering installing an FAE.
