Does your wake get steeper when you go fro 10' to 20' of water?

The GS20 seems like an awesome boat but I really like my 210. I like new boats and have been waiting for this boat but my number is probably around $25k. If that can't happen I will probably just wait and see what kind of changes they make for the 2018 GS20 (I hate buying the first year model year of anything) and go from there. If I was in a 211, Super Sport, Sport 200, I would almost definitely feel the cost difference would be worth getting into a GS20. If I didn't have a boat and was looking, I would definitely buy a GS20 and it would be new (just because I love new boats and my wife is anal about colors) but if I didn't have the funds or just wanted to spend less, I would probably wait and buy a used one next year. Please remember that this is just my opinion, there will probably be a lot of people that trade take big hits on 2016's to get into this boat. It really is a sweet ride but everyone has their number!

Did I make sense with that ramble?
Great reply, we are in very similar situations.

I'm actually excited to try slalom behind my 210. ( I just wrote it it off as not a possability)

No, but several other posts made it sound like it might be going away. I am just confirming that it definitely is not.

No it doesn't really change much and if it did , I would just adjust the setting of the nss plate

That's interesting, my wake loses all push and gets small when I hit less than 10' of water. I guess the NSS doing something different than the sacs are doing.

Yeah it causes your boat to glide throught the water slightly sideways, making a longer wave.

The helm control and touch screen is exclusive to G boats for 2017.

I respectfully disagree with the water depth comment. I have an NSS boat and I can tell you every spot on our lake where the water level is less than 15 ft because it dramatically effects the height and push of the wave.

My son and I went to the demo on Sunday he wake surfed and I wake boarded, I wanted to surf but ran out of time. My son doesn't slalom and I haven't in a long time so can't help in that department.

A little background on were I am coming from, we bought a 2011 210 new and traded it for a 2016 G23 this spring. When we surfed our 210 we had 750 in rear and 400 on the seat, no NSS on 2011's. For wake boarding full factory ballast with hydro gate on steep. Both of use would be in the intermediate category for wake boarding and surfing, definitely not hard core.

The wakeboard wake on the GS was similar to the 210 wake in size and width with maybe a little less kick, the GS was set on intermediate and would have been nice to play with all the setting to fine tune it. I am sure the wake at the pro setting would be just as good as the 210, certainly good enough for my ability. As far as the wake surf wake my son was surprised at the amount of push that he was getting from the wave, in only approx. 10' of water, and could recover from several feet back into the wash. He remarked that hands down it surfed better than the 210 and was just a little smaller and shorter than factory G23 wave but great wave overall. He brought his pebble watch but didn't use it and surfed the factory setting, the wave can only get better in deeper water and after some fine tuning of the factory settings as in the G23.
Over all it was a great time I have never been in a boat when world champion athletes like Shaun, Drew and Matt were riding behind, all three guys are top notch along with Adam and Jeff and all the Silver Spay and Nautique people.

Would this demo convince me to trade my G23 in, Not a chance, but someone looking for 3 sport recreational boat for surfing, wake boarding and slalom I think it would be hard to beat.

I went to the demo on Saturday. As was mentioned before, the lake is mainly 6-8' deep so it would be interesting to demo it in deep water. Considering how shallow the water was, I was very impressed with the wake. My wake completely dies at that depth so being able to still have a very poppy wake so shallow was nice. The boat is everything you would expect from a new Nautique. Everything is nicely finished, and the boat feels very big for 20'. The storage is amazing considering the amount of sub floor ballast. I wakeboard so that was my main concern. The wake was very solid. I never hit it and had it feel mushy. A couple people I rode with surfed, and considering the shallow lake, the wave was very good and they all commented that it was a really strong (not soft) wave. Again, it would be interesting to test ride again in deep water. Overall, compared to the other offering at this size I think Nautique hit a home run with this boat. My only complaints are that it took forever to get going and I wish they would offer a cheaper option with normal gages. I personally could care less about a touch screen but I think it's great that NSS is standard.

It seemed like it took forever to get up to the speed I wakeboard at. I thought maybe the driver was just being really easy on it but it was the same way when he pulled Murray and I watched him throttle right down on it. Not sure if it's the way the transmission is setup or what. It planed no problem and didn't sound like it was struggling. It just took a long time to get going.

Its probably the tranny. Unlike the recent Gs, this does not have the 2:1 transmission, its 1.48:1 so that would make a difference.
