2005 SV211 Team Edition - Ballast Valve handle broken

Folks - I need some input. I have a 2005 SV211 and have had it for 5 years. We were using it yesterday and I went to open the belly valve and broke the handle off. (pumps still work but the open close handle broke off in my hand) My question is what should I do? It is my understanding that the 05 Ballast system is certainly not the best. So my question is should I just fix it back to stock or should I have my dealer swap out the ballast system for a better system?

Full disclosure, I'm 40 something, with no delusions that I will wake up and be 18 again. That said my 10 year old daughter is really starting to enjoy wake boarding. So what should I do? replace the valve (assuming I can find the part) or have my dealer rip it out and start over with fat sacs. If a custom system is the right answer, what is a reasonable budget to throw at it? Thanks for your help.

helm valves are notoriously problematic. Best bet is to replace the valves entirely.

I bought three of these and simply tapped them into the pump wiring using t-taps. Watch out for similar valves that have multiple wires. These only have two and polarity doesn't matter. Press the fill pump on your dash and they open, stop filling and they close.

They aren't common here yet, but they should be. People are spending lots of money on ASCO redhat valves that function poorly in our low-pressure ballast setups.
