Help! Having trouble cleaning up the wake on 08 SANTE 220

I am having trouble cleaning up the wake for wake boarding on my 220. I know the boat is sensitive to weight placement but I cannot seem to keep the wake from washing out as the rider approached the wake. Can anyone give me some hints on ballast, speed and rope length that seems to be working to for them

I have tried speeds between 18 and 21 mph.

Weird, usually as the rider approach a wake that helps clean it up. Probably gonna need a combo of more speed/weight on one or both sides.

How much weight are you running? If your ballast is full, 21 is about as slow as you'll be able to go to get a clean wake. If you're running full ballast, try running with it empty. Otherwise, speed up.

I fill all ballasts and set the perfect pass at 22.5. With only my family in the boat and 3 feet off the rope, the wake cleans right up and it's great for this 41 year old dad.

I agree with josh. I was having the same problem until I sped up and moved one of my passengers to the other side. Once I did that, the wake was solid and both sides were perfect.

Over the weekend I increased the speed up to the 22.5 pm that was recommended and the the wake cleaned up and was good and solid. I my kids were a bit nervous about riding at that speed but once they experienced it they loved it! Thanks guys of the help.

Awesome! I can get as low as 21.5 and I'm still good. So , try that and see...

I had a 220 from 07-13. More weight forward will clean it up. My favorite setup was to run 3-400lbs of lead right at the windshield line, I would put the bags at the drivers feet, center locker, near the amps, and under the cushions on each side near the bow. I found that having the ballast there would settle down the side-to-side, front to back motion. And I typically had one bag that I could move left to right with my arm to fine tune for the crew I had that day. Great boat, you can't beat the layout and reversible seat.
