You can make your own for about $40 in materials. Credit for the basic design goes to member nr2041. They do work very well at improving the surf wave.
Any idea as to what would work better, the 90 degree angle or the 70 degree?
I ordered the suction cup plate and the polyethylene sheet.
Just thought i would ask before i started piecing it together.
Thanks for the info on this as it looks great if works? What have the results been like? I'd be putting on an 06 220SAN. Also, would like to learn more about the ideal location and angle if you know it.
I used cabinet finish screws so I could suck the heads into the plastic leaving it seamless. Couldn't find my counter sink or would have used it. Drilled pilot holes first. Took off the suction cups and screwed from inside the dome to the hDPE
I place it as far down and to the aft as I can before the hull starts to bend

If you are putting on a 211 use duct tape over the engine vent. If you don't you will have more ballast than you want haha. Made that mistake first day I used it. Took a few minutes of bilge pumping before I could continue

I built one as well for my 2007 210 SAN just trying to get the placement right. I'm running 750's in each v-drive 800 in the ski locker and 400 in the bow at 10.7 and the wave is really tall just not a lot of length to it. Anyone mess around with the placement on that hull?

I tried mine I built for a 2003 SANTE on a friend's 2008 SANTE yesterday and it was great! He has basically your same weight setup but we only ran half of the bow weight. I placed the gate as far back on the hull as possible. This is is a bit off angle making it look bigger. It was realistically at his waist. About 5'6" rider.

I don't have time to make one myself so I decided to order one. I even paid for overnight shipping (ugh), but that is still cheaper then the Ronix one. I'll post a before and after picture next week...assuming it gets here tomorrow.
I slightly modified the design posted by nr2041. I used a plastic suction cup handle for my mockup. I plan to switch to a metal handle when I have proof of concept. I'm hoping to get out this weekend and give it a test.
I theorize that the 70 deg option will less stressful on the handle. And prevent the spray that I've seen some 90 deg shapers make.
