    Remove scratch in windshield?

I had to remove the hydraulic legs on my Bimini and the metal scratched the windshield when I was raising the tower. Any suggestions for how to buff them out?

Never heard of buffing glass, not sure that's even possible (I'm assuming the windshields in a G are glass not plastic?). You can call an auto windshield repair company like Safelight and they have a vacuum applied resin repair method that fills the chips in windshield glass. Iv had a few vehical windshields done where I had rocks throw up and chipped the glass. Can't even tell the chip was there after the repair. Not sure it would work on a scratch though as it may not be deep enough of a void to pull a vacuum on and fill with resin.

Auto glass shop is best bet for buffing. They have some compound that may take some of it out but in most cases w auto glass it's not likely to be completely removed. Of course all subject to how bad the scratch is. I would think the boat glass would be similar to auto but I've got no idea.

Marine glass in our boats is very very soft. Think clay... As compared to the tempered and hardened glass in our cars. Just scoring window tint on our windows WILL scratch our glass every single stroke of the razor knife.

there are compounds that can be used to buff out scratches... But like gel coat, you gotta know what you are doing.
