Need help identifying the model of my boat

I just recently purchased a 2002 Nautique from a private seller and I'm pretty certain that it's a Super Sport, being as that is what the placard near the throttle says it is. The only reason I'm slightly confused is because the lettering on the back of the boat above the swim platform says "Super Air Nautique". Around 2007 the graphics of this boat were upgraded, so I'm guessing that the SAN lettering was added then but I'm not sure. Is there another way to determine exactly which model my boat is? I'm in Alabama, they don't issue titles for boats.

If I remember correctly, all Super Air Nautiques of that vintage said Super Sport Nautique on the placard you're talking about. I'm pretty sure my 2003 SAN said that too.

I'm wondering if there is an identifying feature that would only be found on a Super Sport or a Super Air that would help me identify it either way...

Yep, it is hard to read, but I found an old picture of my 2003 SAN, and it says Super Sport Nautique on the placard.

They're the same boat. In fact, a few dealers back then used to order Super Sports, and then add options to them to make them identical to the SAN. This was a less-expensive way to get exactly the same boat.

My 2004 Sante said super sport on the placard and on the title as I recall also.

The confusing thing about 2002 might be that they offered 3 Vdrive models that year: "Nautique Super Sport" ....."Super Air Nautique"...and "Team Edition" So if yours says Super Air Nautique....the graphics just might be the original and you had the Super Air....not just the Super Sport. All three are technically the same hull...just dressed in different clothes....

The main differences back in the day between the Super Sport and Super Air were the graphics and gelcoat options. Otherwise you could order a super sport with identical options as the super air. You just wouldn't have gotten some of the gelcoat accents or interior designs that were available on the super air only. The team edition just packages all the essentials in one nice group and gave you different badge. Even Super Air Team Editions had "super sport "on the placard. Same went for the XStars of that era. They were all badged 205v's

Basically what everyone else said. If you have perfect pass, ballast, tower, etc. either boat "model" you are good to go! Did you pick up that boat from Madison, AL? I saw the ad for this and it looked like a great buy. The addition of the seadec on the back is something very unique and took some time to do. I have never seen that boat in person, but from the pics it looked super nice and you should be very happy with the 210 choice. Side note, I am originally from Dothan/Wicksburg area so if you ever need any other boat contacts down there let me know!
