    Getting a wave on a 2009 216

A friend of mine is trying to set up a 216 fir wakesurfing. The regular wave is looking ok but having a tough time setting up the goofy wave. Getting a really tall rooster tail and a lot of wash. What are any of you 216 owners doing?

That boat needs bow weight. We ran stock plus at least 750 on surf side and belly tank plus 300 in the bow on ours. It also liked a bit slower speeds if I remember correctly. I think it was low 10's or even high 9's. Been a few years since we had ours.

CC216V is right. Bow weight is key. I pulled rear factory hard tanks and had 900 sack in each locker. Filled that 900 on the side we were surfing, center factory tank full, 350 or so in bow, and sometimes another 300 midship on the surf side depending on how many people were in boat. That said, the goofy side was always finnicky for me and tough to dial in.

There are some threads on here for the 216V surfing. Might search those up as well

Thanks guys. I guess he friend even tried using WakeFX to help.... he said it helped some but I'll have him try adding even more weight on the surf side.
