Got a few pictures of the racks today with a board with regular boots. I was able to fold the rack all the way in. The boot hit the speaker, but I was able to easily hold the boot down enough to get the rack to rotate all the way in without removing the board. Here are some pictures.

Your new rack looks great!!! LOVE how you can turn your new rack (above) totally inside the boat. IMHO that is another flaw with the stock G23 racks. I wish that my racks would spin all the way inside so I could pull the boat into my boat slip and avoid my cables
BUT more importantly leave all of the boards on the racks!! Has anyone here modified the stock rack to spin all the way in???

Jeff, thanks for all the info and pictures. I'm considering a set of these for my new 17 G when it arrives. We primarily surf and one thing I liked on the 17's is the wider clamps to accommodate thicker boards like Soulcraft and they are angled slightly more downward which prevents them from rubbing on the tower speakers. Do you know if these clamps will keep the same angle as the new 17 clamps? What maximum thickness of surfboard can the racks accommodate?
Will both the top and bottom forks accommodate the same thickness surfboards or are they asymmetrical widths like the stock racks? Thanks in advance.
Never mind. I just found this specification on another website:
Each board rack holds up to 2 wakeboards or wakesurf boards, and with 2 ¼ inches of spacing between the forks, all but the very thickest of surf boards will fit in this rack. Get your boards out of the boat and back in the board rack!.Last edited by greggmck; 10-20-2016, 11:54 AM.Comment

We have been loving these racks on our G23. A buddy of mine that has a 2013 model couldn't get over how well they work. We were spoiled by having them on the Malibu, but it was nice not to lose that functionality when going to the Nautique.
