New Dimension Flex?

Hey guys I finally bit the bullet and got tower for the 2001.

I am very happy, although, there are a few issues with the finish.

So the question I have is how much flex should I expect on these? It's not a wet noodle but its also not super rock solid. This may be do to the thickness of my top desk or just the way it is.

Any info from you guys would be great.

are you talking about after install? What kind of tower, was it custom built to fit the 2001?

After install flex on New Dimension for an 86 2001.

i would ask SuroundSound64, he just put a tower on his '8? model nautique, bought it from New Dimension I think....I boarded behind his and I seemed pretty sturdy, didn't really notice much flex.

derby, you installed the one that looks like the FCT? If so, that tower should be fairly solid with little flex. Did you put backing plates underneath the hull when installing the tower?

Ya, like Matt said, I just got a NDT on mine. I LOVE it. I haven't noticed any flex. But I also towed it to TN. to have Wayne put it on him self.

Wayne built it up with fiberglass underneath and then put a metal plate that the tower was bolted to underneath.

I did a significant amount of building up under the deck. Actually its much better today now that the filler is more cured. However I may add whats left of the filler to the surounding area for added piece of mind.

Did you guys re-apply closed foam around the plate?

Did I mention Planet Nautique rocks!
