    carpet replacement

has anybody ever ripped out and replaced the carpet with a type on rubber product or gatorgrip. i mean the whole floor to get rid of the smells that come from carpet mixed with water. i just saw the interior of a honda element today and it really got me thinking. so much easier to keep clean, but without that bare look of plain fiberglass. easier on your feet (cushiony, some give to it) and non skid

    RE: carpet replacement

I've thought about it but the cost is almost tripple of what good carpet will cost you. Go to airjunky.com and see some pictures.

In regards to smell, I mounted a box fan in my garage rafters. The carpet is generally dry in less than an hour.

Hey Speck, every so often we let the bung out and hit our carpet with the Jet Washer and some fluid to get rid of the smell. Works really well.
