How do you find out the MSRP option by option? New guy here (appreciate all the great information) starting to get serious about finding a leftover '16 G23 or a good used boat. Communicating w two dealers--mostly by email. (I checked out the nearest dealer to me and the closest unit they have w what I'm looking for is a demo w more than 100 hours already on it. I don't think most used boats I'd consider would have that many hours.) One of the two dealers seems to playing the game and wants me to make an offer; I'm asking for something that shows the pricing--it seems like he doesn't want to give me anything. The other dealer emailed me a quote on the dealership letterhead showing MSRP and the discount. I'd like to verify the MSRP they show is legit and possibly counter. How do I go about verifying the price option by option?

The dealer has a file they will probably be pretty glad to email you that has MSRP for everything on it. At least mine did. Many dealers then just offer you X% off of the MSRP and leave the negotiations at that.

I agree with above post.. And in my opinion 100 hrs is not worth walking away from without taking a look, that's for sure.
Also that seedealercost is a very cool site. Thanks for sharing.2009 Super Air Nautique 210 TE

Had my boat (230) for a little over 1 year now and just clicked over 100hrs....still drives like brand new...a regular user typically is a person that will regularly maintain and clean the boat as well, there are obvious exceptions. But as everyone else has said 100hrs is nothing in the grand scheme of things. An interesting thing to consider if you look at many posts on this site the first hrs up to the 25hr service can be the most problematic because of software updates and random glitches from factory....so actually a boat with 100hrs will have most of the "new boat" kinks worked out and should be set to last for years more. just my $0.02

Again--thanks for the input and all the information on this site. Was going to get on here w a few more questions--but it looks like the 'powers that be' might be announcing a GS22 tomorrow! If the speculation is true, would really change the decision-making process for me. Until today, was pretty much set on a holdover 2016 G23 provided I could find one I liked and get it for the lowest price possible.
Questions are:
1./ Is 30% off of MSRP on a holdover 2016 G23 possible?
2./ What about Freight & Prep? On quotes from different dealers that were emailed to me, it's been lumped in (listed at $0) with the total price or broken out w its own line item. Anyone have any experience negotiating on those items?
3./ What's anyone's thoughts on the discount I could expect if I opted for the new 2017 (or 2018?) GS22?
4. / Any reason to be leary of the first run of a new model?

1)Definitely. Especially this time of year. There may be some incentives from the factory being offered. I would say 25% is more realistic though.
2)I always negotiate the total cost. This way, you are getting a discount on everything. No reason why the boat should be discounted and not freight and prep IMO
3)I would expect less. Maybe 20-25%? I haven't priced one out yet but a new model will be selling like hot cakes at the boat shows
4)I don't think so. There is really no new technology here.

I didn't get nearly the same discount on the trailer that I got on the boat. I also just took a punch to the gut on the freight and prep thinking it was not negotiable.
Although there is no new technology on the GS22, it is a new hull, so I would want to be sure it creates the wake and wave I need before I purchased. It can't be a G23 with a less deep hull or it would slalom like crap. Unless it could be and the lighter weight makes it slalom OK? I thought the interior and everything else looks standard for Nautique, and is a home run for sure.

What would a fully loaded, all options checked including 550hp engine, 2016 G23 sell for? How much would a Boatmate triple axel with 18 in rims and powder coat to match boat cost for the G23? I'm asking about what you would expect to pay today in U.S. dollars with end of year discounts? Or give me a range for price for both the boat and trailer that you would consider a good to great deal?
