    Ballast Filtration System

Working on my G23 build and wanted to get some more info on this feature. Do most of you get your boat with this option? I primarily will be using my boat on a lake with what I call cloudy, dirty water...not sure if that has anything to do with this. Thanks for your advise.

Pretty sure the only reason you would need that is if you want to go to a lake that does quagga mussel inspections. If that doesn't pertain to you, don't waste the money. I doubt it would add a dime to resale too. It also seems it would slow down the ballast pumps some.

I have lakes near me with Quagga mussels and my primary lake is not yet infected. I am confident that if I had the water filtration system, I would get a blank stare from the young people who man the entrance and would get sent to the decontamination station regardless. I guess if I wanted to lie to them and have a clean conscience, it might be worth getting, otherwise, I don't think I see the value.

But like Markj said, I don't think it is intended to be any benefit for murky water. The icky water won't hurt your ballast bags.
