Buying and Selling on the Forum

I have a question about transactions on the forum. When making a purchase on gear let's say, do you guys typically send the whole amount via paypal before the item is shipped? Do you require pictures? I just want to make sure i'm not being a pain. Thanks for your help

You can ask for pictures but it's usually best to do this before making an offer to buy.

I have always used paypal and you always pay before the item is shipped. If you pay them as a friend in PayPal then the seller doesn't get charged a fee but it gives the buyer less rights if something goes wrong. Talking to the seller and looking at their posts will tell you if they are someone who if well know and you can trust.

I have done these types of transactions on several sites and only had an issue once when I bought a snowboard from a kid who couldn't figure out how to ship it, said he was having problems getting the right size box. He did eventually send it but it took about 3 months.

I send the cash first. Never had an issue.

I have always done cash receipt first and shipped the item upon receipt. Never been a problem. Will not use PayPal as I learned that there are still holes in there transactions. I would be cautious where someone has a new member post.
