The channel is also easier to maintain as it won't hold water nor hide rust like the box frames can. You can also clean them of alot easier if you ever do dunk it in salt water. With a box, they will rust away from the inside and you won't know how bad it is untill it fails.

Picked up the new trailer last week. It tows better than any trailer that I've ever pulled, and it loads as nice as anything else my family has ever had. The colors match perfectly and it makes my boat look brand new. So far, I rate it a perfect 10. I'll post some pics hopefully tomorrow. Those of you looking for a trailer, I don't see how you can lose with a Trailmaster. Just my .02

Does your boat sit lower on your new trailer? Maybe its an optical illusion but the boat looks like it sat fairly high on the old one. If you don't mind me asking, what was the base price of the trailer before upgrades?

Got a chance to take a couple of pics tonight! Sorry for the wait.

Rbalaln: If I remember right I think it was going to be $2200 without any options. Don't quote me though. And the boat does sit a lot lower on this trailer.

I told them it had to fit inside a 22 ft 6 inch garage, and they got it down to 22'2". I have to take the swim platform off, and then it BARELY fits.

Wow, nice trailer. Really beefy setup. The way mine is designed, when I swing the tongue back it is only about 3 or 4" in front of the nose of the boat. Looks like you made it anyway, so it's all good. BKH

I'm jealous. That thing looks so nice. I'm still trying to order trailer parts so it can make it to Green Lake. We're gonna try anyways!

                    Nice trailer.

I've got the same issue with my boat...remove the teak, flip up the tongu, and I have about a 1/2 inch of clearance.
