Maybe I am crazy, but I am not all that concerned about it. I have heard from others that have black SeaDek that it doesn't really get that hot. Not saying that's true, but we'll see. I just kind of went for it this year with the dark colors. One thing is for sure. This boat will certainly be a good test to see how hot these products (the SeaDek and the vinyl) really do get. I'll have to get a laser thermometer and check them on a hot day. That way we'll all have some real values to go on.

If you get a chance this coming summer do a side by side temp comparison with the laser thermometer of a boat with white vinyl vs. dark vinyl in the sun.

Don't get me wrong... it's visually striking. Brilliant actually. Black and Red go together beautifully.

That said, any notion that "Black Sea-Dek isn't going to get that hot" is just nonsense. Black WILL absorb heat. It has to. One of my buddies had a 2001 SAN in black. Black hull, white with black stripes on the vinyl. Good grief, that boat was HOT in July/August. Every time we stopped people would reach over and scoop up lake water and pour them on the black bits during those "dog days" in NC.

The carpet in my Air is gunmetal grey and it gets hot on those days.

I can attest that Roswell does it right when it comes to the sound system!! That system set up is the best I have ever seen/heard!! Let's see more pictures of everything Jeff!!

Wow, looks great! Take that laser thermo to the Seadek too. The gray gets super hot, even up here in WI. I can't imagine black on a hot day. Keep it wet

Will do. We have some 80+ degree days coming. That's nothing compared to NC summer, but at least it is something.
