We've just purchased a 2016 210 with pro ballast. Any suggestions on proper weighting and upgrades. Seems that upgrading to 750lb bags in the rear is a must. Trying to decide if weight in the bow is needed

Weight in the bow is needed if you upgrade to 750's in rear. We just put and extra bag under the port seat in the bow. Filled it manually while waiting for the rear of the ballast to fill. This wave is really good.

i have to agree with cedar creek if you really want to put the extra weight i would wait until you try the pro ballast first (but the extra weight of the 750 will not help the wake- ive tried them all) . more weight is not always the answer for a surf wake. all the nautiques are engineered and the weight with the pro ballast is set so the nss surf plates do the best " the more you sink the rear end the less they work" quoting a correct craft engineer. for some reason the 210 produces one of the best rideable wakes i believe it was by accident. the proper way to set up the 210 is to fill every tank full except the starboard unless you have some one on the port side. the surfwake is better if there is a slight list to the port side. also the proper speed is 10.6 not 11. you can set the nss anywhere from 0 to 5. 5 will give you the steepest wake with the great amount of push but i would suggest running it at 3 that will give you a clean wake with plenty of push if you want it longer just gradually up your speed.

As mentioned by someone else earlier, you will need bow weight when adding 750's. I used a wedge sack and put it in the bow. Probably 150-200#. We surf at 10.8.
I used the factory setup for a few weeks and it just wasnt enough. Adding the 750's and putting sack in bow changed our life.

i do but they were not taken below the swim platform like the other guy posted. it is really hard to tell in photos- they all look the same even the g23. i can tell you that the wave in person has enough push that if you fall in front of it it will slam you. i will try to post some

this was taken at the surf nationals last year it was a g23 fully weighted and then some. i have seen a similar angle posted on one of the 210's for sale on this site. i put them side by side and they look close. all my photos are from the boat and you just cant get the idea. i dont know how to grab the photo but it is listed under gobucs ad. check out where the knees are to judge the height and the 210 is just as long if not longer

Thank you for posting those pics Tom and F725, I definitely like what I'm seeing, those look really nice. F725 were you running your 750's full plus all factory tanks full then the 200 up in bow under seats to and no extra weight in ski locker? Or were you listing a bit on either side?Looks like you had a great set up going, wave looks real good.2009 Super Air Nautique 210 TE

Our 2012 and 2013 210's we plumbed piggy back bag seats in the bow, also slightly listed towards port side. Goofy wave was usually pretty good without changing weight around. Both had NSS.
These sw last photos were of our 2014 210 so there is no ski locker. All ballast full. 750's were plumbed off the hard tanks. We could've piggy backed the bow but decided it was easy enough to fill a sac while filling the rear of the ballast. Sometimes I'd just leave the front 200 sac filled while it was kept on the lift.

Surf wake pics are so often like pics of the Lochness monster. Never clear and always missing one element or more. Camera angle etc..... The only ones I give any real weight to are side shots taken from the side of a chase boat or pics taken from the observer's seat area. The ones taken from the swim platform sure look impressive, but they're really a waste of everyone's time. I could post all kinds of pics that would look like my boat throws a shoulder height wave. No thanks. Keep it real. Wake9 almost always does it right.
