Nick, We are on Ripple Lake a few miles out of Aitkin. Water was cold, but not mind numbing. If I had a garage for boat and a wetsuit/drysuit I'm thinking a person could go until ice starts forming jtryon, unfortunately I don't drink. Maybe that would be a great way to extend the season.
Today was latest we ever went...but i think we are going next weekend also. Water was 57 degrees, but we wear the oneill boost dry suits... which was perfect for today. Just a light layer underneath.
Record coldest was set this season when we started 3/26/16 with 43 water, and 44 air temp...It was brilliantly sunny and we had all the exuberance of spring.
we're still getting after it here, down in the west metro. however, wearing a comfy 4/3 wetsuit. will push it as long as the lake stays unfrozen.

Still thought we might make it one more time, but didn't happen. Once cold and rainy weather hit, it really didn't warm up again. Maybe 60 one day this week though, you never know.
Daylight savings won't help, can't just go after work, it will be dark by 5.
