    95 SN Surf

    Hey guys,

New to this and wanted some advice. Just bought a beautiful 95 ski nautique and wanted to know what a good beginner/intermediate surf board would be. Not looking to spend a crazy amount but something to have fun with. I'm 6'2 190lbs. I read that i would probably need a bigger board like 5'4-5'8. Currently have 700lb total ballast with fly high pole, and working on a surf gate I know its not the biggest wake but it works! But looking for something that will work with smaller wake. Anything helps!

    Cheers,

    Kyle

Yeah man bigger board for bigger body. You could always load that 95 out. Had some buddies that used to roll 1500 lbs plus 8 of us plus another 300-500 lbs of lead up in the nose. . Trick is to sink the whole boat be careful if you go that deep thing handled like a fat big with no rudder. This was all back in the late 90s for wake boarding. Have fun and enjoy the water man. Longer board though will make it much easier to ride a smaller wave for a big guy with out working so hard.

Yeah the only reason that would prevent me from taking an actual ocean surfboard with me is they get a little long and hard to store like a 5'11" or a 6'2" or something. Hard to find a spot to keep that.
