    210 Differences 2009 to 2014

Ok, I will be in the market soon for a 210 in these year ranges. Take me to school on the differences.

Was 2013 the first year for subfloor ballast? What was it's capacity? Did they increase in 2014? What options should I look for?

    Thanks.

It's my understanding that 15 up have the surf pipe.

There is a year divide where the hull design changed to maximize the NSS (maybe 13/14 and above). Additionally, there are year models that the NSS is NOT available even as aftermarket add on but this I am uncertain which year specifically. These thoughts are in relation to surfing if you are more of a wakeboarder i dont think there are huge differences in these year models.

2007 - 2013 is the same hull. 2007 had a different deck with a "hump" in the rear bench seat.

NSS is available on 2012+ (if the boat has the linc system).

2014 - newer the hull was changed slightly to improve the function of the NSS. Also the top deck was changed slightly. The reversible stern seat went away and the gel coat lines changed. 2014 is also when the sub-floor ballast came in, but pretty much every boat I've seen has the "pro-ballast" option which incorporates bags on top of the sub-floor ballast. Stock-ballast (without the pro-ballast option) throughout the years didn't change much at approximately 850 lbs.

Pretty much all have the same engine options except for 2016+ which had the option for the direct injection engine, but the standard engine is basically the same.

There were other changes throughout the years...tower, options, etc...but I think these are the big things.

Thanks for the replies. How slow can you go and get a clean wake? How about weighted to one side?

Bandit. I'll get back to ya in bit more detail in your email. But just to clarify some mis info here.

2014 was a minor hull change to work better with NSS. It's significantly improved the regular side surf wave. Sub floor ballast I don't think exists on the 210. For sure not in any year up 2014. The tanks were all above ground. In 2014 the tanks were swapped to a different shape and instead of on the floor of the lockers more along the side. Capacity is all about the same. It just gave you deeper storage to work with in 2014. 2014 also saw the intro of the walk through and the raised the gunwale just a bit. To accomodate that.

Regarding NSS. Technically if you want full integration run through LINC ( Nautiques touch screen) yes 2012 and up is the year you can have that done or retrofitted However you can add NSS to any 07 - up. Nautique will sell you the plates. You just need to use an aftermarket Lenco Switch to wire them. It's works perfectly. I did a complete write up on the site here with exact cost and install. 2008 has terrible speed control. The zero off module if not updated doesn't work well at all heavily weighted. It needed an antenna and software update. It's much better but still doesn't hold tune to the old paddle wheel in your old boat when dialed correctly. You can add FAE to any model as an aftermarket sued pipe.

Not much difference seperating the 08-2013.

            THE BIGGEST OPTION CHANGE
            2011-2012.

08-2011 they were next to zero cup holders in the main lounge. Especially on the passenger side. 2012 had a small interior tweak that added recessed cupholders to the gunwales. As someone who I know plans on entertaining a big crew that enjoys a god time, I think you'd really appreciate that update.
